These terms govern your use of the StackShot mobile application, website, and related features. Please read them before using the service.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using StackShot, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use StackShot.

2. The service

StackShot provides tools that help you review, organize, compress, and remove photos, videos, contacts, calendar items, and related device content. Features may vary by device, operating-system version, region, subscription status, and permissions.

StackShot offers suggestions and organizational tools. It does not guarantee that a suggested photo is objectively the “best,” that every duplicate or large file will be found, or that a particular amount of storage will be recovered.

3. Device permissions

Some features require access to Photos, Contacts, Calendars, notifications, or other Apple services. You choose whether to grant these permissions and can revoke them in iOS Settings. Revoking permission may prevent related features from working.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Prices, billing periods, trials, and included features are shown before purchase and may vary by region.

  • Payments are charged through your Apple ID.
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled within the period shown by Apple before renewal.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
  • Refund requests are handled under Apple’s applicable policies and processes.

Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.

5. Your content and responsibility

You remain responsible for your content and cleanup decisions. Review selections carefully before confirming a deletion, merge, compression, vault action, or other change.

  • Maintain suitable backups of important content.
  • Do not rely on StackShot as your only backup or recovery method.
  • Some Photos deletions may be recoverable through Recently Deleted, but other actions—including permanent vault deletion and certain Contacts or Calendar changes—may not be reversible.
  • Use StackShot only with content and devices you are authorized to manage.

6. Limited license

Subject to these terms and Apple’s applicable usage rules, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use StackShot for lawful purposes. You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, disrupt, misuse, or attempt unauthorized access to the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may also release updates needed for security, compatibility, or continued operation. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every device, library, format, or future iOS version.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackShot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackShot and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, or business arising from use of the service. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for StackShot during the twelve months before the claim or the minimum amount required by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date will be revised when updates are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
